Jackie Kramer started reading at the age of three which is why she got into trouble for reading in first grade.  DICK AND JANE bored her stiff, so she started sneaking more mature books behind D&J during class.  Luckily, she had an understanding mom; she was allowed to read what she wanted at home, but not in class.  That’s probably why she was able to become a Registered Nurse, having worked for 29 years as a Pediatric Nurse.

Along the way, she served during Viet Nam as a Marine, got married, had two fantastic sons, and started writing.  Her first book, BABY BONUS, was published as a Silhouette Desire and hit the USA Today Bestselling list.  Since then, she has published several short stories, one novella and three more books.  Her last book, WARRIOR’S HEART, was awarded the 2006 Best Short Contemporary Romance book from both MORE THAN MAGIC contest and the HOLT Medallion.

Jackie belongs to RWA, RWI, OWFI, NINC, and The Author’s Guild.  She has won numerous awards, but  is still astounded when people read and like her work.   She can also be found on the WRITING SLUTS blog at

She enjoys reading, writing, and presenting workshops for other writers.  She considers herself an advocate for every child in the world, foster mother for all kinds of stuffed dinosaurs, and owner of the world’s best furniture dust collection.  She can’t be bought, but she can be rented for the right amount of dark chocolate.
